Timberframe Building Courses 2024

April 22nd - 26th Last minute special due to cancellation!

£600.00 camping and most meals included.

28th-31st May 2024 - 10 Day intensive Timberframe Building Course £1,800 (FULL)

Week one: 6th - 10th

Week two: 13th - 17th

These weeks are run back to back to make a 10 day course with a weekend in

between to relax in the woods or go home.

4 Day Truss and roofing course

Tuesday 28th - Friday 31st £720

Exploring Timber framing roof work and truss design (2 places left)

4 Day Cruck frame building course 

11th to the 14th June £720

10 Day Intensive timber frame course

24th June - 5th July £1,800

Week one: 24th - 28th

Week two: 1st - 5th

These weeks are run back to back to make a 10 day course with a weekend in

between to relax in the woods or go home.

2 Day Timber frame Design course

Tuesday 18th Wednesday 19th June

including Budgeting, Building mathematics & sacred Geometry (Not CAD based but an overview for transferable skills) £375

The Big Build! - 9 Day Intensive Timberframe Building Course 3rd -13th September £1,750 

Courses cover 

marking system, orientation, and wall frame lay-ups.

​Roof structure, trusses, purlins, etc. As well as

addressing different jointing and scribing techniques.

We will be looking at several different aspects of scribe rule timber

framing: design, marking and cutting.

This includes plumb bob scribing of posts and curve sections, roof trusses, and purlins.

There is a possibility of raising our oak frame on the final day of the course.
